About me Graphic Content

About me. GRAPHIC IMAGES SO MATURE READERS ONLY PLEASE
Summer is coming remember when driving a CAR to

If you reading my blog thinking to yourself,"O well he is trying" I need to let you know. I am physically disabled after having had a serious motor bike crash. I am Building this trike because I was told I am not allowed to ride a normal bike due to serious risk if I fall and a few other things. I build bits at a time and a lot of the time I am not even able to stand up straight after a few minutes working around this Trike. I am always in pain and the longer I stand or walk ect the worse it gets. I live on pain killers and have suffered for every bit I have done to create this trike. When my court case is settled I may buy one but for now this will have to do.

This was the bike I had at the time a Mini bus drove through a traffic light and put me in harms way.

WHAT WAS LEFT!!!!!

The picture above is what was left of the front end. The front wheel is bent against the radiator and that was pinned against the engine.
This Frame is 4 inches or 10cm thick and at this joint alone you can see two breaks  where the frame snapped off. Thier were 7 breaks in the main frame alone never mind the rest.

Yip OUCH that is the dent made in the steel petrol tank by my pelvis and as the tank crumpled it created sharp points on both sides that punchered me on each side of the groin.

The force was so hard it broke my pelvis in two tore my knee apart dislocated my hip broke a tibia and caused many other complications for me.

This is how the pelvis should look and is circular in shape

This is how my pelvis looked as you can see it is broken open at the front and I had a 2.5 inch gap with a break at the back right as well.

After a 5 hour operation this is how my pelvis looks now

On the left of the picture at the top you can see a big cut out of the bone The docs needed to take 4cm2 of bone to transplant to the front of my pelvis as they could not get me put back together again. I lay in bed for 4 months before they could do this due to complications.

How your knee should look

How my knee looked

This is how my knee looks now after a 8 hour operation and 9 months of recovery that left me with no hamstrings from the 3 left leg hamstring transplants to my knee and one transplant from my right leg to the left knee.

How my knee looks now

Just after this photo I go an infection in this wound it slowed my recovery by 3 months due to it being a resistant to antibiotics and after some test it was found that penicillin would kill it lucky I am okay on penicillin.

I beat it and again for the 20th time dodged the bullet so to say.

Below is the worse of all the injuries. I think because the long thin bone called the tibia fractured and the peroneal nerve slid into the break and the the fracture closed. Effectively my foot died as I lost the use of most of the muscle from my knee down.

I spent many months bed ridden only to be followed by many months in a wheel chair and a couple of years with crutches then a walking stick. I now use nothing. I am building this trike to see if I can maintain mobility and have fun. In 4 years I have not gone faster than a walk  because my left leg was so badly injured it can not cope with fast movement. When I strap my feet to pedals my right leg will control the left leg.

Not long ago I had a post tendon transfer to try and gain some more use of my foot and it helped with the walking a bit but did nothing for the pain and suffering.

I now have another piece of steel in my foot that aches in the cold along with  some of the others.

BELOW: Click on the purple links to my You Tube Channel about Post tendon transfer that left me with around 80 stitches so it has graphic content so be warned.

The first one I made to help other understand a bit more that they not alone and 120 views a month shows that I am not the only one to have this operation.

Wounds at 31 days after operation

2 weeks after operation and cast removed for the first time

Because in a way so many muscles have stopped working in my leg my foot started becomming deformed and started looking like the letter C this made wearing shoes and walking really painful and slippers became a norm for a while until the issue became so bad I was faced with a wheel chair again as a means of getting around. I since the day of the indecent have refused to ever take a step backward so going back to the chair was not an option so I had to have a plantar fascia release where the main bands under my foot had to be cut in two places.
As you can see it look pretty straight again but the nerve pain still has not left.

STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION SO PLEASE COME BACK AGAIN
